my priorities

Government Transparency & Accountability

  • Increase transparency in the state budget process and legislative negotiations.

  • Prevent special interests and undisclosed influence from shaping public policy.

  • Strengthen ethics and campaign finance laws to restore public trust.

  • Ensure taxpayer dollars are spent responsibly and efficiently.

  • Make state government more accessible and accountable to North Carolinians.

 

Bipartisanship

  • Deliver practical solutions instead of partisan gridlock.

  • Build bipartisan support for issues that affect every community, like healthcare, education, and infrastructure.

  • Foster respectful dialogue to better represent diverse districts.

  • Focus on results that improve people's daily lives.

  • Demonstrate that elected officials can work together despite political differences.

 

Public Safety

  • Support law enforcement while strengthening trust between officers and communities.

  • Address the state's growing mental health and substance use crises.

  • Invest in violence prevention and youth intervention programs.

  • Improve emergency preparedness for hurricanes, flooding, and other natural disasters.

  • Keep communities safe while protecting constitutional rights.

Women's Rights & Reproductive Healthcare

  • Expand and protect reproductive healthcare freedom.

  • Expand access to maternal healthcare, particularly in rural areas where hospitals and maternity services have closed or are severely limited.

  • Reduce North Carolina's maternal and infant mortality rates with real solutions to address the disparities in maternal fetal health outcomes.

  • Protect access to contraception and preventive healthcare for everyone.

  • Ensure women can make personal healthcare decisions without government interference.

 

Public Education

  • Fully fund public schools to meet the state's constitutional obligation to provide every child a sound basic education.

  • Increase teacher pay to recruit and retain high-quality educators.

  • Invest in school construction and modernization to address aging facilities.

  • Expand early childhood education and workforce development.

  • Keep public education at the center of North Carolina's economic success.

 

Innovation, Infrastructure & Transportation

  • Prepare North Carolina for continued population and economic growth through smart, sustainable infrastructure investments.

  • Support innovation, small businesses, and clean energy to attract high-paying jobs.

  • Modernize roads, bridges, water systems, and electric infrastructure.

  • Complete broadband access initiatives so all North Carolinians have access to the internet.
